The rules for using this website, and how registering interest in joining RTB Academy works.

About us

This website, rtbacademy.co.uk, is run by RTB Academy — Raise The Bar, also known as RTB Football Academy — a youth football academy based in Waterlooville, Portsmouth, Hampshire. You can contact us at admin@rtbacademy.co.uk.

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Using this website

The site is free to use for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time, and we don't guarantee it will always be available.

Information on this site

Fixtures, results, kick-off times, venues and league tables come from the published data of the leagues and competitions we play in, and we update them periodically. They can change at short notice and may not always be up to date — the competition organisers' own information, and what your squad's coach tells you, take priority.

Everything else on the site is general information about the academy. We work hard to keep it accurate, but it isn't an offer of a place and doesn't form part of any agreement with you.

Registering interest

Registering interest through our Register Interest form is free and there's no commitment. It doesn't guarantee a trial or a place. We take registrations for some age groups we don't currently field, so we can plan future trials around demand.

Please only register a child you're the parent or guardian of, and give accurate contact details so we can reach you.

Joining the academy

If we offer your child a place, we'll tell you what's involved before you accept — such as training, fixtures, codes of conduct and any fees. Those written details, as confirmed to you, take priority over anything on this website.

We'll provide our coaching with reasonable care and skill, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires.

Fees and your right to cancel

Where a fee or subscription is payable for your child's place and you agree to it online, by email or by phone, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel within 14 days, starting from the day we confirm the place. You don't have to give a reason.

  • To cancel, send us a clear statement — for example by email to admin@rtbacademy.co.uk. You can use the model form below, but you don't have to.
  • If you asked for training to start within the 14 days and then cancel, you'll pay a proportionate amount for the sessions provided up to the time you told us.
  • You lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully provided, if it started during the 14 days at your express request and you acknowledged this.
  • We'll refund anything you're owed within 14 days of you telling us.
Model cancellation form

Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.

Photos, content and trade marks

The RTB Academy name, crest, photos and the other content on this site belong to us or to the people who supplied them to us. You mustn't copy, download, edit or reuse any of it without our permission — and in particular, you mustn't reuse photos of our players, who are children.

League, county FA and professional club names and crests, and our sponsors' logos, belong to their owners. They appear here to show who we play, who our players have gone on to, and who supports us. Their appearance doesn't mean those organisations endorse this website.

Acceptable use

When you use this site, you mustn't:

  • break the law, or use the site for anything fraudulent or harmful;
  • submit false information, or someone else's details without their permission;
  • send spam or unsolicited advertising through our forms;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the site or the systems it runs on; or
  • use anything on the site to identify, contact or harass any of our players.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be limited or excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

If we don't follow these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We only provide this website for domestic and private use, so we're not responsible for any business losses, such as loss of profit or business opportunity.

Viruses and security

We don't guarantee that the site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses — please use your own virus protection. You mustn't knowingly introduce viruses or other harmful material, or attack the site in any way. Doing so may be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed, so please check back whenever you use the site.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or complaint, email us at admin@rtbacademy.co.uk and we'll do our best to sort it out. If you're a consumer and we can't resolve it, you can get free advice from Citizens Advice on 0808 223 1133 or at citizensadvice.org.uk.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
